Shana Norton, LPC

In my work with clients, I have observed that there may be no limit to our capacity for change and healing. My clinical interests include working with individuals to address anxiety, depression, life transitions and phase of life concerns, identity exploration, concerns specific to the LGBTQ+ community, substance use, and trauma – particularly healing from the impact of domestic and sexual violence.

I take an integrative and intersectional approach that is attuned to one’s unique cultural perspective including one’s multicultural identity and family of origin dynamics. Each person requires different supports for healing, and I believe that our process is a collaborative one that honors your needs and perspective on your journey towards growth and empowerment.

As an EMDRIA-Certified EMDR Therapist and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional — Level II, I follow current research regarding trauma-informed care, continually seeking the most effective interventions through an EMDR lens while also integrating other therapeutic approaches as needed. In addition, I have a multi-disciplined background that includes creative expression and informs my clinical approach. Together, we will co-create a supportive, therapeutic path based on the goals you envision for yourself, one that leverages your existing strengths and new skills that will allow you to work towards greater clarity, balance, and wellbeing.
