Keanna Knox, LPC
Life can be difficult, and sometimes we need someone to help us cope. As a psychodynamically-trained therapist, I help people bring unconscious patterns into conscious awareness, create the space to replace these patterns with more adaptive ones, and become more wholehearted versions of themselves. Through providing a safe and compassionate space where curiosity is welcomed and encouraged, we will explore the underlying emotions, childhood experiences, and relationship dynamics that often serve as the foundation for the behaviors you want to change in the present.
As a therapist I am inquisitive and collaborative. I believe that you are ultimately the expert on the solutions that will best serve you but sometimes you may need an extra push for change. Our process is a joint effort that honors your needs and perspective on your journey towards growth and empowerment, and when discomfort arises (as it often does) we will explore and process together as you challenge yourself to take the risk to try new things.
I have experience working with adults and adolescents in residential, intensive treatment, and outpatient settings. My clinical specializations include working with clients to address depression, anxiety, eating disorders, life transitions and phase of life concerns, family of origin issues, relationship dynamics, identity exploration, multicultural issues and concerns specific to the LGBTQ+ community, and personality disorders. Together, we will co-create a space where you can clear away the noise and work to honor the needs of your most authentic self. I look forward to working with you.
